ABOUT DAYANA HEMELBERG
Nearly two decades navigating organizational complexity from within.
I am a Leadership and Systems Advisor and Executive Coach. Nearly two decades navigating transformation inside some of the world's most complex organizations shaped everything I bring to this work.
THE LENS
I have always been drawn to what holds things together.
I grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, in a family that encouraged curiosity and independent thinking. From an early age, I was fascinated by patterns, systems, and the relationship between human behavior and outcomes.
As a child, I climbed from the balcony outside my room onto the roof of my parents' house to look at the stars. Finding Orion's Belt. Tracing constellations. Noticing connections between what was seemingly disconnected. It gave me a feeling I still return to. The sense of being part of something much larger and more coherent than what is immediately visible.
I did not know then that I would spend my whole life doing exactly that. First for myself. Then for the leaders I work with.
I came to the United States in my twenties to pursue an MBA after studying Industrial Engineering in Colombia. I spent nearly two decades leading global transformation initiatives before transitioning into advisory and coaching work.
During my corporate career, I was recognized for leadership that bridged technology, people, and organizational systems.
Over time, a deeper question began to emerge. Why do some transformations succeed while others fail? That question led me to spend seven years studying with mentors in neuroscience and psychology. Years of leading transformations taught me that systems alone do not create change. People do. The key to lasting transformation lies in the human mind.
Today I live in California with my husband Chris, our two children, and our dog Ruby. They are my greatest source of joy and my most honest mirror.
THE SHIFT
I became the
advisor and coach
I wish I had.
Most high-performing organizations are full of brilliant people under relentless pressure to perform, deliver, and grow. The talent is there. The resources are there. But something in the system keeps working against itself. Stress accumulates. Internal politics replace collaboration. Teams fragment under pressure. Most organizations try to solve systems problems with people solutions. It rarely helps.
Again and again, I observed the same pattern. Operations improved. Technologies evolved. Performance increased. But the human experience of the work often remained fragmented, disconnected, and unsustainable.
I became increasingly interested in the deeper architecture shaping how organizations perform, adapt, and evolve. Not only how results are achieved, but how people experience the process of achieving them.
I became the advisor and coach I wish I had.
